Power (Zone) Encounter (Standard Action)
When you plant this blade in your space or an adjacent square, it creates a zone in a close burst 3. Enemies within the zone when it is created or within the zone at the start of your turn are pulled 2 squares toward the planted dagger and slowed until the start of your next turn.

The zone lasts until the end of the encounter or until the blade is removed from the ground. Any character in or adjacent to the dagger’s square can remove it from the ground as a standard action. If an enemy attempts to remove the dagger, it provokes opportunity attacks from you and your allies.
Ki focus (A ki focus is an implement that certain classes use as a focus for their inner magical energy, known as their ki. A ki focus might take the form of a training manual, a scroll of ancient secrets, or a blunt training weapon. To use a ki focus, you must first attune yourself to it. Some characters study their ki focus to attune themselves to it. Others meditate with it or wield it as they practice their fighting techniques. Once you have attuned yourself to a ki focus, you must either wear or hold it to use it as an implement.)

This weapon was forged in the golden age of the Ancients by their arch druids who watched over the fey and natural world of Lir. In the waning days of the war with Ro-Rex the many of the high ranking druids were driven mad by the destruction of Lir. The arch druid Og’olo fled with the weapon into the Savage Mountains. In the centuries that followed Og’olo succumbed to both madness and corruption. He tapped in the Ley lines of the planet and fused them with blood and dark rituals to extend his own life. His crimes did not end there; he warped natural creatures into monstrous servants and playthings. The sacred blade became cursed by the horrible deeds it was used to commit.

In the Age of Corruption, the Keepers of Lir discovered Og’olo sanctum and destroyed his perversions forever. The blade was recovered but not even a noble heart could overcome the curse that laid in the blade. The dagger quickly took hold of Pau Dir and its curse of blood lust continued in him.

Pau Dir was eventually called before Sah-Na-Gig while trapped in the Gloom. She took possession of the curse and used it to her own ends. But, promised Pau she would completely cleanse the weapon should he succeed in allowing her to hear an ancient song again. Not only was the blade an object of blood lust and greedy life stealing at that time but also turned Pau and his companions into gateways to the world of death. A method for Sah-Na-Gig to release the dangerous Gloom Wyrms into the living world.

The Keepers of Lir did resurrect the song of the Rasha for the young death goddess. True to her word the curse was cleansed from the blade. The blade restored to its glory became once again a weapon of noble intent.

The blade remained with Pau Dir throughout his life and was handed down through his bloodline as a powerful artifact and keepsake. It eventually was taken by the Church of the Heart and hidden.
